These flags are handmade and can vary in appearance in regards to burning patterns, knots and color depth. Knots can run deep and can present themselves in the stars. They also burn and hold stain differently, which will be noticeable throughout the stripes.
Each flag has some level of charring which can cause the flag to slightly curl because the wood constricts when burned. It can also cause small gaps between the pieces of wood as the flag adjusts to its new elements once shipped. We carefully inspect each stripe and union before assembly and discard any piece presenting concern to prevent this from occurring, but we can’t guarantee it.
